OH HAI GAIZE!

It's been a while, huh? So sorry for my absence but I've been one BUSY lady O_O

A few peeps on here saw through FB that I am now married Mike and I decided to get "legally" married before we had the religious ceremony...still scheduled for September, bee-tee-dub It doesn't feel different like I thought it would. More...final, I guess you could say XD THERE'S NO RUNNING NOW D: _j/k.

I took the week of the holidays off to move the rest of my shizz in to our apartment and I'm trying to relax before the festivities tomorrow. I'm old and need to catch-up before I venture out to party now. We're not even doing anything crazy. LOL, we're going out for noms with my mom and grandma and watching the ball drop from the restaurant. Nice and quiet and WARM. Don't know how it's going in the rest of the US but NY got pretty chilly, pretty fast XP Those of you in Minnesota and Colorado are probably rolling their eyes at me now. WHATEVER. I'm spoiled!

In regards to everything thing else in my life, I've also been applying to a new job within my company as a Graphic Designer. Hence, why there has been a lack of fanarts from me. I interviewed and was given an assignment to design shirt graphics and embroideries for boys clothes. A bit challenging since I have no idea what little boys like XD IMO, I think I did a pretty bang up job My friend and fiance husband gave me lots of constructive criticism and helped me perfect the designs. As far as I know, there's only one or two other people applying for the position. In all honesty, I'm a little nervous since they're both guys and this field is male dominated. I'm supposed to hear back some time after the new year. I would love to get this job. Not only is it creative but I'd get a better salary and a higher standing within the company. Never hurts to improve one's resume a little

Hey guys!

So life has been exceptionally busy this past week. Now that it's almost a year until I get married, all of the "official" wedding stuff is starting. I planned our engagement pics to be taken outside at the Bronx Zoo: www.bronxzoo.com/ I was a little concerned we needed to cancel because the weather had turned into complete sh!t after out supposed hurricane. Tuesday was a straight up storm and our pictures were scheduled for Wednesday. I had a sad and a worried Everyone was suggesting to reschedule but that sounded almost like a cop-out for me. If it rains on my wedding day, rescheduling isn't an option. It was best for me to take my chances with the rain and learn to make the best out of a dismal situation. In order to save the photographer's equipment, I mapped out all of the available indoor locations. He was satisfied with that so we made plans for a rainy day shoot Not at all bad since I've seen rainy engagement shoots and they are super cute :3 I lucked out because my mom had a vintage inspired leopard print umbrella which went with our vintage zoo theme ;D

The day turned out to be really great. The rain let up and we got tons of outdoor shots. Once it started up again, we went for the rainy shots. The lighting was perfect and our photographer was great. I couldn't be happier to have him booked for our wedding day He even made us a teaser vid while he works on the retouching!
